PEE WEE LEAGUE

The league is co-ed and plays all of the games on NCSP's mini-field located at the North County Soccer Park. The mini-field allows for continuous action and enables all the players to practice the important soccer skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and ball control. Because the mini-field is so conducive to learning, the Pee-Wee league is designed as a "learn through experience" style program. The season consists of eight games. The Pee Wee coaches are volunteers (Moms or Dads) who are not required to have a substantial soccer background. The coaches are expected to organize the Pee-Wees on the field, make substitutions so that all the players play approximately half the game, and provide positive encouragement and feedback. The coaches are not required to give extensive, verbal soccer instruction. In fact, teams are discouraged from holding organized practices although it is allowed and occasionally Pee-Wee teams do practice.

THINGS TO DO AFTER YOU HAVE REGISTERED

• Outfit your child with shin guards (mandatory), shorts, a size 3 or 4 ball, water and soccer shoes.
• Call the NCSP two days before to confirm the first game time and team. (858) 748-4260.
• If you desire, bring your son or daughter to watch a portion of a game in the current season if he/she in unfamiliar with indoor soccer or the Pee-Wee league format.

SPECIAL REGISTRATION NOTES

• At NCSP's discretion, every player may choose one preferred player to play with assuming either player has been chosen by any other player. That request should be made on the registration form.
• Registration is always conducted on as first come, first serve basis. There is no registration deadline, although the program does usually sell out. Please register early!
• Starting dates for all leagues may change due to rain outs from the prior season.
• Sorry, NO REFUNDS after the first scheduled game. Refunds before the first game will be less a $10.00 administration fee.
